Happy National Son’s Day 2020 to all the parents celebrating their boys!
National Son’s Day
This goes out to my 6 ½-year-old son, Levi.
Levi,
Being your dad is not just awesome, it is a blessing without the curse. You are the son every dad hopes for, one who: enjoys playing outdoors, yearns to learn, builds Lego’s, and numerous activities in every category.
Your intelligence is beyond amazing. I recall when you were two years old, you completed a 9-piece puzzle on your Android tablet. I was so astonished. Who knew by age five, you would successfully complete a 100-piece-puzzle without help. I’m still in awe how well you memorize what you see.
When I think about how long ago you were an infant, it seems as if you have existed forever! In your six years of life, you have achieved and accomplished so much. Nothing stops you from seeking your goal and the fact you work to completion shows your character and the person you will be in the future. I am molding you the right way, and all I pray, is that you grow up to better than me.
I love being the person you look up to, the person you first see when you wake up in the morning, the last person to pray with you at night after brushing your teeth. I love how I catch you staring at me when I am working on my computer while you do your school assignments at your desk virtually-from-home. Your diligence and dedication is truly admired and once again, I love you son.
-Your Father
