The Perfect Life

The perfect life would be raising our son,
Together under one roof, raising as one.
We’re out on our own, what hell can we raise?
We are still young, in the prime of our days.
The perfect life would be a house on the beach,
On the shore, I’d give my ‘I’m a dad’ speech.
Kicking the sand, punching the waves,
If you were drowning in an ocean, I’d jump out and save (ya)
The perfect life would be where we are rich,
You could reach and grab a twenty from your pockets.
Never having to worry about what we could afford.
Because if we were rich what would we need to worry for?
The perfect life would be a career for me,
So you can sit at home and watch the baby,
I’ll never have to worry and our baby will be safe,
It’ll never get old we won’t need daycare rates.
The perfect life will be us as a team,
Regardless of how frustrating things may seem.
We will prosper and raise Levi,
And love him when he’s knee high.
The perfect life will be when Levi is a man,
Grown on his own taking matters in his hand’s.
As parents we must teach him to do on his own.
Hopefully the highlights of his life are shown.
Whether the perfect life is here or just to depict,
An image in my head, nothing less than perfect.
All we have to do is wait and hope to see,
Things turn out the way I hope them to be.
