Retrain Your Brain Humans!
I challenge all of my viewers to commit to a healthier lifestyle. That includes proper eating, daily exercise and uphold a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude). If an accountability partner (coach to help achieve a desired commitment) is what you request, find one who will hold you to your challenge.
Retrain your brain
Eliminate procrastination and indolence. Abandon all negativity and remove pessimistic sources from your lifestyle.
Pre Response To the Excuse-Having-Person:
Yes, we all know life is tough and many obstacles get in the way, eliminating our number one priority of health –it isn’t number one for everybody– but what if we said to ourselves, ‘Today is a great day to add some exercise to my routine.’
You may complain about the way you look, act or feel anyway so why not do something to naturally alter your appearance? Maintaining your own health is vital. After all YOLO, You Only Live Once, speaks truth so why damage and destroy your human-being?
Exercise prevents a lifetime of what could have been controlled, medical conditions. Devote time to a gym or an at-home activity. We are in the times of electronics on the rise and there are FREE apps that trial exercise. It doesn’t matter how vigorous the activity you choose is, as long as you just do it.
Just Do It
Don’t look for excuses. When you are home watching nothing on television or sitting around or arguing with your spouse, turn on your music, ‘Drop and give me 20’ push ups! Yes, I also know parents with child(ren) work, go to college, attend extra curricular activities, church, etc., but please do not blame those things for your lack of motivation to physically work on your health. If you want to blame your child for the reason you are physically unmotivated, for one, shame on you, and two, depending on their age they can be active and physical with you. How amazing is it to train alongside your child who wants to be just like you!? Honestly they are probably more healthier then you. Adults get run down over time as our bodies age but I don’t want to hear it. I see 90 year-old grandmas doing their thing in hospitals and gyms, killing their work out. Puts the youth to shame.
Just To Add
We know time is not on our sides not allowing us enough time to do the things we need to do, but remember, this is your life. You are in complete control of your actions, your physical being and your routine. It’s time to make a stand and start trying now! If it is something that is hard for you to abide religiously by, it is probably because you are not used to it. Working out does make you sore, so log your exercises so you don’t blame random pain on areas of the body you targeted when exercising.
We Don’t Fail, We PASS!
Eliminate bad habits like smoking, fast-food daily dining, gluttony, confusing boredom with hunger and other unhealthy, lackadaisical nonsense. REWARD yourself for achieving goals you set! If you don’t show results, the important message is to NOT GIVE UP! You can do it!! Be positive! Eat healthy! Eliminate the couch potato lifestyle! Educate yourself! Learn something new! Experiment and explore! Indulge!

From Lucas:
I wrote this in hopes to inspire those who aren’t living as healthily as possible, to get up and go. My brother Aaron Turner-Harris gave me a challenge November 1, 2014 to do 3,000 push-ups. I thought I had until the end of 2014 but I asked him November 10 to clarify when I had to be completed and he said by November 31, which totally changed the game. As of Nov 10 I didn’t even reach 1,000 push-ups. I didn’t want to do it because I thought it was too many. Too many? Think about how many other people say that same thing to a challenge they NEVER ATTEMPTED! I accepted his challenge and have maintained doing an average of 100-200 a day to reach my goal to get back on track.
In all honesty, I asked my brother what exercise goals did he have for me and he gave me the push-ups; however, it was my choice to accept it OR my brain could have just said, ‘Eff that, this dude’s crazy, that’s way too many in a month. Plus I have finals to study for, an infant and a job.’ I am most certainly glad I did not reject what he suggested for me. I hated working out because it involves using energy and requires determination I didn’t have. Once I motivated myself and told my brain, “Lucas we are going to work out today,” I did it and am liking my results!
My Simplest Advice
Just keep it up and don’t give up! Don’t complain. Feel the burn. DON’T DESTROY YOUR HUMAN BEING FASTER THAN NATURE WILL.

For each can of coke you drink you have to run FOUR miles to burn off those calories. Think about that.
