Father’s Day

Today is Father’s Day.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the amazing dads out there! You know who I am talking to.

The dads who are involved. The dads who take time to listen to their children. The dads who devote minutes over seconds in a long day catering to their children’s interest and needs. The dads who create memories that their children will look back on.

Today is also the first day of summer. June 20th 2021 marks the beginning of the summer solstice.

For my children and I, today started off with attending our church service followed by a routine gym session. With temperatures in the 90s this prompted the need to enjoy swimming at our local YMCA.

To say the least, I had such an amazing day and an enjoyable Father’s Day weekend that this is one for the books. My children made me a special Father’s Day card, and my fiancé went to the aquarium with my children and I on an amazing adventure.

We spent Saturday at the Newport Aquarium in Newport Kentucky.

The road trip is a familiar one, one reminding me of my childhood. We also had a good time taking my drone with us to capture some amazing views. Walking the levee on the Ohio River, we enjoy the scenery around us and indulged like no other.

To my surprise my fiance bought me a GoPro 9, something I definitely did not see coming. She is truly amazing for this wonderful gift that adds value to my collection of tech.

We had such an amazing time that all I want to do is look back at the videos and pictures that we took to reflect on the amazing time we share together. Family is everything and I cherish mine every single day.

I hope all of the fathers who are truly involved in their children’s lives had an amazing Father’s Day weekend! I am especially hopeful that some will learn how to better be involved and their child’s lives. We are not promised tomorrow so why not start now and make your presence known.

Happy Forever Fatherhood!
