Tonight’s Full Flower Moon & Lunar Eclipse

Tonight on May 15th, the star gazers had the chance to see the moon at multiple light changing intervals within minutes.

We were blessed to see the light changes on the moon due to the earth blocking the sun light, which casts a shadow on the moon hiding it from sight.

The near Full “Flower” Moon before the lunar eclipse at 9:58PM EST (Louisville, KY)

While I wasn’t able to capture the partial eclipse when it began around 10:27PM, I was able to capture the beginning of the total eclipse, when the shadow is cast from left to right causing the moon’s visibility to be 0.

The total Lunar eclipse

I’m hoping to catch the Maximum Eclipse which commences around 12:11AM and the Total Eclipse ending. What a sight to see if the conditions above are clear for proper visibility.
