Snapchat is an amazing app that allows you to send a photos or videos to your friends family more. I’ve been a Snapchat user since the early days in 2016. When my daughter was born, I stopped using the platform to focus on a life of privacy. Fast forward to 7 years later, how ironic is it that I now have a public Snapchat account where I allow strangers to view my world.

This morning my Galaxy s22 ultra device rebooted and must have updated to the latest One UI software. The immediate thing that I noticed was Snapchat didn’t do an update, however, I noticed some immediate changes to the app that I access daily.

The main feature I noticed that was removed was the visibility of all of the viewers who are subscribed to my public Snapchat @curlybiracial. It’s a really helpful tool for me to see the names of those who have been following me for a long time, as well as the names of new audience members who have possibly recently subscribed.

In the screenshot above, you can view my insights as listed by Snapchat. Here it will tell you the total amount of viewers who have viewed a particular story that are subscribers and non-subscribers. So far this has been in absolutely normal experience.

Looking at the picture above, this is also the same story where I can view the friends on my private Snapchat who have viewed my public story, however, I no longer can see people who are not of my friends list, that are subscribed to me on snapchat.

The removal of the viewers who view my Snapchat daily it is very upsetting, as I don’t understand if it is a tiered issue which might require me to purchase the Snapchat+ subscription in order to view what once was available to me for free.

I’m curious to know if anybody else has experienced the same thing that I’ve experienced where they can no longer view their subscribers names. This absolutely stood out to me today as it is a critical tool that allows me to know which particular audience likes which material I post. If you have experienced the same issue, I would love for you to reach out and let me know. I’ve tried googling the topic and have found no one has discussed this issue.

I’ve already done my own troubleshooting with the Snapchat app, such as clearing cache, and uninstalling and reinstalling the application. This did not fix my issue. Let me know if you guys have experience the same thing. Be blessed!
